Description
For so many years even though I lived on a farm, it seemed the ring neck rooster pheasant was not within my sight to capture an image. After years of looking and being at the right place at the right time, these handsome birds are in my zone more often! I'm LOVING it! Patience and a little help from the Lord. What a perfect capture of this handsome fellow, I adore pheasants and when I was much younger remember there were so many of them in the wild that every time I took my pony out for a ride, several would flutter up under her nose. She was so used to it that she never even spooked, though sometimes I did. :) LF
Kathy M Krause replied:
Hi Angela! Thank you so much for your view, enthusiastic comments and LF! I value that! I always wanted a pony or horse when I lived on the farm but we had milk cows and my Father said it would not be a good idea to have a horse or pony. Thank you so much for your description Angela, I can still dream about it through your description! Sounds like so much fun! Blessings.

Wow, an amazing capture, Kathy! Love the whites and grays against his brilliant plumage. LF
Kathy M Krause replied:
Thank you Bonnie for your view and enthusiastic comments! I value that. The poor thing actually thought he was hiding. Winter snows may have melted but not all grass areas are back yet in Iowa. The area he went to would usually camouflage him but since weeds
