Description
Union Slough Wildlife Refuge was established in 1938 to provide breeding ground and refuge for migratory birds. The wildlife refuge is over 3,300 acres and has a wide variety of plants and flowers throughout the slough. It was exciting to see the beautiful Trumpeter Swans during our drive through. Trumpeter swans are native to North America and have a wingspan that could exceed 10 feet. They are so beautiful!
