It would be really hard for me to pick just one favorite flower from all the different varieties we have been blessed with on this earth. Flowers are just one of God's creations I love to look at when I'm out in nature. I have not even seen some flowers that I have no idea actually exist on our planet. Flowers are just one of many variety of plants, animals, snakes,birds and fish that God has blessed us with. I know I forgot salamanders and other creatures, but, I think you know what I mean. The daylily variety has over 60,000 distinct varieties, and that might be even more today. Daylilies are long lived perennials that can thrive and live in a variety of different soils. They can also live in the shade or out in the open where the sun beats down on their beauty. The daylily comes in a wide variety of colors, except for blue. In the research I was able to read, that's what was stated. I'm not sure and did not study all the different varieties of daylilies, but I believe that this particular one is a Christmas Ruby. If I'm wrong I apologize and hope that someone out there that loves flowers as much as I do, can maybe give me the correct name or variety for this one. In the research I was going through, this particular daylily was listed under that name. Of course, I think people that know more about computers than other can put what they consider facts on the internet. Interesting and love the research!
