The Hoover Dam is a beautiful sight from the air. The dam is located on the Colorado River between Nevada and Arizona. The Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon. It was constructed during the Great Depression and was dedicated in September 30, 1935 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Thank you for visiting my Gallery! I love capturing special moments with my camera and sharing them with people. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and even though I live in town now, I'm still drawn to the open spaces in the country. Usually to relax and rejuvenate I will turn on the first gravel road I see when I drive out of town. Of course that changes all the time. I blow with the wind and if there isn't a wind I go where and when I feel the urge to turn. I do stop for barns, horses, old farm machinery or old trucks and cars. I really enjoy chasing the light of sunrise or sunset! I just started birding in the last couple years and enjoy that as well.
