It was an unpredictable day for a drive. The weather was foggy and storms were in the forecast but sometimes that's the best time to catch the ever changing clouds, mist and rain. This barn is near Pomeroy, Iowa and I've always wanted to capture the memory and beauty. Today was the day that the old barn looked new after the fresh rain. The grass looked greener and the mist and fog was rolling away with the clouds. The sky was hinting signs of blue and most of all was a surprise in the sky right on the edge of the clouds. It looked like a sun dog or was it just a miniature rainbow? Either way the scene was beautiful. Thank you for visiting my Gallery! I love capturing special moments with my camera and sharing them with people. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and even though I live in town now, I'm still drawn to the open spaces in the country. Usually to relax and rejuvenate I will turn on the first gravel road I see when I drive out of town. Of course that changes all the time. I blow with the wind and if there isn't a wind I go where and when I feel the urge to turn. I do stop for barns, horses, old farm machinery or old trucks and cars. I really enjoy chasing the light of sunrise or sunset! I just started birding in the last couple years and enjoy that as well.
