Description
When you go on an adventure along Iowa's Great River Road, you need to stop to visit Marquette and McGregor! These two towns sit at the foot of the tall bluffs that overlook the Mississippi River. The beautiful blue bridge in the background is the Marquette-Joliet Bridge that crosses the Mississippi River, connecting Marquette, Iowa and Prairie du Chie, Wisconsin. As we drift down the river, I look back to see our magnificent American flag flying over the edge of the shoreline of the river and the edge of the city limits of Marquette. This water adventure down the Mississippi was my first time and I will definitely visit again to take another amazing ride on this river! Maybe on a houseboat and stay overnight on the river? There is a railroad track that goes right near the edge of the river, and it goes past the old grain bin. I wish I would have taken the photo earlier when I was closer to it, but I was so excited to be on a boat floating down the Mississippi River for the first time, I was like a little kid and was so excited I wasn't even thinking. Lol. Blessings.
