Description
To work accurately, weathervanes are usually placed at the highest of a building and away from other things in order that the wind will not be interrupted. When the wind blows the arrow usually points in the direction it is blowing. They were a critical tool used in agriculture, travel and shipping years past! Weathervanes have been replaced by more advanced weather instruments now. I used a filter on this photo to enhance it. The Fine Art America watermark will not appear on your purchase.
