Artist's Description
Even though it was going to be cold, my friend and I enthusiastically left as early as we could to travel to Rock Island, Illinois for the Bald Eagle Days at the QC Expo Center. It was an awesome trip and we were fortunate enough to see hundreds of birds on the Mississippi River. Bald Eagles, Sea Gulls, Common Merganser, Mallards and of course the Canadian Goose. Amazing fun and so excited to get so close to the beautiful Bald Eagles!! Another awesome adventure! I was raised on a farm in Iowa and even though I live in town now, I'm still drawn to the open spaces in the country. Usually to relax and rejuvenate I will turn on the first gravel road I see when I drive out of town. Of course that changes all the time. I blow with the wind and if there isn't a wind I go where and when I feel the urge to turn. I do stop for barns, horses, old farm machinery or old trucks and cars.
