Driving near Peterson, Iowa, I love to drive past this deserted country home. I don't know why I love this place so much. It just draws me in. Since I was in the neighborhood I thought I would check and see if the fall leaves were still on the trees. Some of the trees have already died, but I still love this farm house and the surroundings. The day I stopped for this photo the fog was almost gone but it was still in the back ground. I used a soft filter for this photo, changed it to black and white and then painted a splash of the natural color back in the trees. The Fine Art America watermark will not appear on your purchase. Thank you for visiting my Gallery! I love capturing special moments with my camera and sharing them with people. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and even though I live in town now, I'm still drawn to the open spaces in the country. Usually to relax and rejuvenate I will turn on the first gravel road I see when I drive out of town. Of course that changes all the time. I blow with the wind and if there isn't a wind I go where and when I feel the urge to turn. I do stop for barns, horses, old farm machinery or old trucks and cars. I really enjoy chasing the light of sunrise or sunset! I just started birding in the last couple years and enjoy that as well.
