While visiting Omaha over the Thanksgiving holiday we visited Scattered Joy Acres. It’s a rescue shelter for animals. What a wonderful place!!! I fell in love with so many of the animals, it was hard to walk away from the acreage without a precious critter in tow to take home to a forever home! The owner, Joy, had just rescued a mother dog that was pregnant with puppies a week before. The mother dog had ten baby puppies and each one was so adorable and precious!! I changed the photo to black and white and then painted in the original color of the puppies eyes and collar. Enjoy. The Fine Art America watermark will not appear on your purchase. Thank you for visiting my Gallery! I love capturing special moments with my camera and sharing them with people. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and even though I live in town now, I'm still drawn to the open spaces in the country. Usually to relax and rejuvenate I will turn on the first gravel road I see when I drive out of town. Of course that changes all the time. I blow with the wind and if there isn't a wind I go where and when I feel the urge to turn. I do stop for barns, horses, old farm machinery or old trucks and cars. I really enjoy chasing the light of sunrise or sunset! I just started birding in the last couple years and enjoy that as well.
