What a pleasant surprise driving past a farm where they had free roaming chickens. They were so beautiful. As we pulled over to the side of the road, the poultry parade started towards me. What a sight of beautiful feathers. I would have loved to meet them all but I wasn't sure the owner was around and the time was ticking. Hopefully I will see these feathered friends again. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and even though I live in town now, I'm still drawn to the open spaces in the country. Usually to relax and rejuvenate I will turn on the first gravel road I see when I drive out of town. Of course that changes all the time. I blow with the wind and if there isn't a wind I go where and when I feel the urge to turn. I do stop for barns, horses, old farm machinery or old trucks and cars.
