This was my first spotting and photo of a male Hooded Merganser. Even though it was a brief encounter, I was excited to have seen and be able to capture one photo of him! Not only are they a diving duck but are very good underwater swimmers. Their main meal is fish, crayfish and other aquatic insects. The Fine Art America watermark will not appear on your purchase.
