We met this beautiful dog during our trip to South Dakota while on bus tour through the beautiful Wild Horse Sanctuary. Duke was so friendly and very well mannered. After the bus was loaded with visitors our guide and her partner, Duke, followed. Along the way while we were outside the bus looking at the different herds of horses or the mountains, our guide was talking about the history of the sanctuary and pointing out places she was telling us about. Duke was right beside her being a well behaved helper. My love for animals is a passion with me and it goes well with my passion of photography. I just felt compelled to take some photos of Duke! He is such a handsome dog and very loving. Great adventure and one I will never forget anytime soon. The Fine Art America watermark will not appear on your purchase. Thank you for visiting my Gallery! I love capturing special moments with my camera and sharing them with people. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and even though I live in town now, I'm still drawn to the open spaces in the country. Usually to relax and rejuvenate I will turn on the first gravel road I see when I drive out of town. Of course that changes all the time. I blow with the wind and if there isn't a wind I go where and when I feel the urge to turn. I do stop for barns, horses, old farm machinery or old trucks and cars. I really enjoy chasing the light of sunrise or sunset! I just started birding in the last couple years and enjoy that as well.
