This empty grain silo and void of any markings, other than the historical paint that says Ft. Dodge grain terminal, is now wrapped in a three-dimensional painting by Australian, Guido van Helten. This 360-degree mural portrays residents of the industrial and cultural makeup of the community. This mural is reportedly the tallest mural in Iowa, standing at one hundred and ten feet tall. Guido van Helten is a world-renowned painter and painted this mural in 2018. It is a very beautiful piece of art and gorgeous at sunset! Thank you for visiting my Gallery! I love capturing special moments with my camera and sharing them with people. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and even though I live in town now, I'm still drawn to the open spaces in the country. Usually to relax and rejuvenate I will turn on the first gravel road I see when I drive out of town. Of course that changes all the time. I blow with the wind and if there isn't a wind I go where and when I feel the urge to turn. I do stop for barns, horses, old farm machinery or old trucks and cars.
