I was so excited to visit Rock Island, Illinois but also attend the 30th anniversary of the Quad Cities Bald Eagle Days. The celebration, hosted by the Audubon, was held earlier this year January 6 through the 8th. A friend and I went for the first time and enjoyed everything about the Bald Eagle Days, especially seeing so many the eagles on the Mississippi along with sea gulls and other water fowl. I think it will make for a great annual event to mark on my calendar! The Fine Art America watermark will not show on the artwork. Thank you for visiting my Gallery! I love capturing special moments with my camera and sharing them with people. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and even though I live in town now, I'm still drawn to the open spaces in the country. Usually to relax and rejuvenate I will turn on the first gravel road I see when I drive out of town. Of course that changes all the time. I blow with the wind and if there isn't a wind I go where and when I feel the urge to turn. I do stop for barns, horses, old farm machinery or old trucks and cars. I really enjoy chasing the light of sunrise or sunset! I just started birding in the last couple years and enjoy that as well.
