Original photography by Kathy Krause. When my friends and I traveled to see the amazing Tall Ships in Duluth Minnesota, we also took some time to drive around Lake Superior and just look around. We had pulled into a lane and were enjoying the view of ducks splashing in the water and then went to turn around and leave when we saw this big, what I though was a crow, starring back at us intently. He looked annoyed that were turning around where he was standing. He was huge and the beautiful feathers shined a blueish and sometimes purple in the sun. My three friends and I decided that was not crow because it was so much bigger! So we took a vote and decided it was a raven. I guess through my research, both ravens and crows are very intelligent.
