Even though this big rustic red barn was missing some windows and doors, to me it was beautiful. Driving through the country after the snow dusted the ground, it's always a pleasant surprise to see a barn that I have not captured. Sometimes even if I have taken pictures of one barn or another, the clouds, time of day, the season and so many things can make the picture look so different. Thank you for visiting my Gallery! I love capturing special moments with my camera and sharing them with people. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and even though I live in town now, I'm still drawn to the open spaces in the country. Usually to relax and rejuvenate I will turn on the first gravel road I see when I drive out of town. Of course that changes all the time. I blow with the wind and if there isn't a wind I go where and when I feel the urge to turn. I do stop for barns, horses, old farm machinery or old trucks and cars. I really enjoy chasing the light of sunrise or sunset! I just started birding in the last couple years and enjoy that as well.
