Description
I have always enjoyed watching and listening to sea gulls. The Ring-billed is the most common and widespread in North America. Some of the gulls are harder to identify because they look so much alike. The ring-billed can easily be spotted by the black band at the tip of it's yellow bill. This one had caught a small bullhead at Twin Lakes Iowa and hauled it up to the icy shoreline to snack down before the other gulls came flying down to steal it.
