Description
While visiting Lizard Lake in Pocahontas County Iowa, I drove slowly on the gravel roads trying to stay off to the side of the road out of traffic. My eye caught this lone teal hidden back away from everything else. He blended in with the reeds, sticks and marsh area that he was hardly noticeable. I noticed then that his wing looked injured. I felt bad but didn't know what to do. I had no net or equipment to try and catch him and if I did that, wouldn't I possibly injure him more. Reluctantly I drove slowly by saying a prayer for the little traveler. The Fine Art America watermark will not appear on your purchase. Kathy,His expressions shows his pain :(. I hope someone might have helped him and he is safe!LF
Kathy M Krause replied:
Thank you for your comments Deepa and L/F! Yes, I hope that they found him too. I did call the DNR for that county but I had no response back, so I don't know if anyone went out there to look or not. I did give them the side of the lake and as much information as I could. I felt bad leaving him there. :-( Thank you for your comments! Blessings. :-)
